The plan was to do 5 oases, in 8 days !
We started from Cairo, our team picked up 8 lovely guests from Australia, literally the other side of the world. People just like us, known for their love of 4x4s and off-reading.

Day 1 :
Cairo To Fayoum
We headed to Fayoum oasis, the closest oasis from Cairo, around 2 hours drive and 140 KM only. checked in Olive tree lodge, had breakfast, the guys enjoyed the pool. then we headed to catch Valley of whales museum. 1 hour drive from Tunis village we arrived. Closed museum with +65 million years history. The group afterwards enjoyed walking in the opened track, where you get to see the fossils in their original shape and location. Afterwards, we visited elmonfarda mount, where you get to see words written by an English army pilot who crashed his airplane during WWII. Qusor dunes was the next stop, the dunes scenery is amazing. Then, we stopped at the magic lake view and panorama to watch sunset with Bedouin tea. We went back to tunis, had lovely dinner and stayed in Olive tree lodge for the night.
Day 2 :
Fayoum to Baharia to White Desert
Early morning, had breakfast in olive tree lodge with Qarun lake view. Afterwards, We drove via the old track of Abou Sennan, a 3.5 hours drive to baharia oasis. Stopped for lunch in baharia oasis. Then, we started our tour to black & white desert.
We went off network starting this day.
The route was black desert, El heez village and spring, Crystal mount, agabat valley, Ein khadra, White desert. We enjoyed our night in Candle-lit camp, white desert elite camp. The night sky where you can see billion star sky was breathtaking.
Day 3 :
White desert to Karaween Dunes
We had some lovely breakfast in the camp. Then departed to Serw spring or magic spring. The group enjoyed a dip in that lovely cold water and a nice cop of tea with others we met.
We moved to palm tree shade to had some freshly made lunch and an afternoon nap.
Afterwards, we headed to drive in Karaween dunes, +200 KM of opened dunes. Arrived to watch sunset and camped near the mount of shaw shaw, 2 hours away from dakhla oasis. We set up or raw camp in the dunes, prepared dinner and enjoyed a second billion star night.
Day 4 :
Karaween dunes, Kharafesh, Dakhla oasis
The most delicious breakfast was prepared by our camp car team. We said goodbye to them and moved toward dakhla oasis with less than 2 hours of other off-roading. We finally arrived to Dakhla and visited, El qasr Islamic city, Dir el hagr, Mozawaqa tombs and bir el gabal hot water spring. We had lunch in town and dinner in our eco-lodge.
Day 5 :
Dakhla to Kharga oasis
We had breakfast in our hotel then moved toward kharga oasis. Stopped in Balat city and tombs then el bashandy village and tombs.
We arrived to kharga afternoon, we had lunch while visiting Bagawat under the shades of palm trees. We visited Hibis temple and headed to hotel to rest. The group as usual enjoyed a dip in the swimming pool. We had a fancy dinner and chilled for the night.
Day 6 :
We visited the desert part of kharga oasis in this day. Labakaha spring and oasis with the famous guy, Sayed. Then, headed back to town to visit the museum of new valley. We had a nice dinner together again in the hotel.
Day 7 :
We drove back from kharga oasis to baharia oasis via the desert track. Around 600 KM of adventure and amazing sceneries. Arrived to spend the night in Baharia oasis.
Day 8 :
It’s never a goodbye, it is always see you again <3
